Q) How does it work?
A) SwitchYourGames.com is a unique website which enables you to swap your old and completed console games IN CONFIDENCE!
- Join for free and only pay for postage and packaging!
- Add the game(s) you OWN and would like to swap in ‘My Games to Swap’.
- Search our database for games you WANT in ‘View Available Games & Offer Swaps’.
- Send swap offers to other members and negotiate swaps for FREE!
- Receive swap offers from other members and negotiate swaps for FREE!
- Send your games to our Switching Centre with two pounds once the swap has been confirmed.
- Games will be checked and tested upon receipt and will only be sent to their new owners upon receipt of game(s) from both traders.
- Leave feedback & enjoy cheaper gaming!

Q) Is it safe? Can I trust the other members?
A) SwitchYourGames.com uses a PROCESSING CENTRE and GUARANTEES AGAINST ANY FRAUD OR LOSS. Send your game(s) to us upon accepting an offer (see 'About Us' for details) and we will ensure that if the trade is not made within one week, your game will be returned to you. You may contact us at any time if you have any further enquiries regarding this process. Also read our ‘Fraud Proof Guarantee’ page for further information.

Q) How do I add my games to swap?
A) Register your details, click on ‘My Games to Swap’ and select ‘Add My Games’. Choose your console, then select the games you have that you wish to trade. Once selected, your games will be listed in the database so that other traders can make you offers. You can also edit the details of the condition of your game.

Q) How do I make a swap offer?
A) Search the database in ‘Available Games’ for the game(s) you want. Click on ‘Offer Swaps' underneath the picture of the game you want. This will enable you to send the owner (of that game) An offer message. The message will automatically show the other trader the game(s) you have to swap, your username, and feedback details. The offer may be accepted, declined or a question may be asked in return.

Q) How do I negotiate with another member?
A) You may swap two games for one, or swap a Playstation 3 game for an Xbox 360 game if you want. It is up to you. You can put comments and requests in the offer messages you send.

Q) What happens when I accept an offer?
A) When you accept an offer made by another member you will both receive an ‘Offer Accepted’ email. This email will confirm the agreed swap with the details of how to progress. You must send your game(s) to our processing centre as soon as possible (67 Brook Lane, Alderley Edge, Cheshire, SK9 7RU). Please include the details of the swap (the switch ID number) in a note with the game (or simply send the game with a print out of the ‘offer accepted’ email).

Q) Why should I obtain proof of postage when sending my game(s)?
A) We ask that all games are sent to us standard class with proof of postage. These certificates of postage are available in every post office. It ensures that if your game(s) are lost or damaged in the post the game is insured up to Thirty Six pounds. You may use Recorded Delivery but this service is more expensive and un-necessary.

Q) What is the feedback star rating about?
A) Feedback should be left after each trade in ‘My Switch History’ to make comments on the other trader. Five full stars is representative of a perfect trade. A member with 5 stars will be a very reliable member to trade with. Each member should aim to receive a 5 star rating. Read the feedback posted on member’s account before making a trade.

Q) How long does the switch take?
A) That really depends on you traders. If the game is sent the same day as the trade is agreed, the game should arrive with us the next day. We will check the games, repackage them, and send them out via the same day. We will also provide you with email notifications upon receipt and game dispatch.

Q) How can I win a Playstation Portable by referring my friends?
A) When you choose to ‘refer a friend’, an invitation email is sent to them. When they sign up, they make reference to YOU on the registration form so we know that you referred them. Whoever tells their friends about SwitchYourGames.com will be entered into a prize draw to win the latest Playstation Portable (PSP).

Q) What computers/games consoles can I swap games for?
A) You can swap games for the following consoles: Playstation, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, GameCube, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, Dreamcast and the PC. If you would like us to add more consoles please contact us.

Q) How much is postage?
A) The postage costs are currently approx 90p for a Large Letter size envelope weighing 250 grams to be sent 1st class (www.royalmail.com). This includes postal insurance up to Thirty Six Pounds.

Q) What if my game is in bad condition?
A) ALL the games traded on SwitchYourGames.Com MUST be in FULL WORKING ORDER. The condition of the game(s) and (or) box must be disclosed in the comments box when listing the game.

Q) Help me! Someone is sending me rude messages.
A) In the event of receipt of rude or explicit messages, please contact us and we may suspend that members account after looking in to the problem.

Q) Where do I send the game(s) to upon a completed trade?
A) Send your game(s) to SYG.com, 67 Brook Lane, Alderley Edge, Cheshire, SK9 7RU. WE STRONGLY ADVISE YOU to send the game(s) in a LARGE LETTER SIZE JIFFY BAG or ENVELOPE as it is only costs 90p for 1st class postage with the Royal Mail.
